Control & Management of Automatic Warping Machines

Technologies: WINDOWS, IPC, PLC, RDBMS, MOTION CONTROL, FIELDBUS, SENSOR, ACTUATORS, SAFETY, CNC

Keywords: WARPING, THREAD, TRACEABILITY, MACHINE CONTROL, CONDITION MONITORING, MES INTEGRATION, PDA

A complete hardware/software solution tailored to control automatic sectional warping machines.
Based on multiple technological layers (PLC/SAFE-PLC/IPC), this system manages various automation devices (robots, handling systems, Jaquard machines, safety devices, …) to guarantee the maximum production output, safety and quality. The operators interact with the system using a PC-based GUI that can integrate a custom-built software (developed by Microtecna) to manage spool racks and organize operation sequences. Different sensors and lidars recognize operators presence and automatically manages safety and manual operations (using SLS and STL technologies). The system stores all the process-data on a local database. The solution can be integrated with external MES systems to guarantee fully traceability of the production process and perform condition monitoring on each machine.

Industrial AGVs for Automatic Looms Management

Technologies: IPC, PLC, MOBILE, RDBMS, WINDOWS, FIELDBUS, SENSORS, SENSOR FUSION, MOTION CONTROL, SAFETY, WIFI, LIDARS

Keywords: LOGISTICS, AGV, TRACEABILITY, PROCESS CONTROL, TRAFFIC CONTROL , ERP/MES INTEGRATION, PDA

Using the powerful Microtecna’s MLP Platform, we created special automated guided vehicles able to load and unload beamlets from/to production looms and warehouses. These AGVs have omni-directional capabilities and can operate safely with people around it. Our Natural Navigation System allows simple plant deployments with minimum impact on the industrial environment where it will be used. It is very accurate (vehicles are approx. 3.5 m long, 0.6 m wide and can operate inside loom-corridors 0.9 m wide). The system is controlled by a single Control Station that automatically manages process flows, missions, traffic issues and ERP integration. The plant is also integrated with an external warehouse control system that manages the beamlets’ I/O. The system is integrated with an external ERP for process data synchronizations. Operators make request to the system using rugged mobile devices provided by Microtecna.

AWMS Platform

Technologies: MOBILE, WEB, IPC, PLC, RDBMS, WINDOWS, FIELDBUS, SENSORS, ACTUATORS

Keywords: LOGISTICS, PDA, TRACEABILITY, CONDITION MONITORING, STATISTICS, ERP/MES INTEGRATION

Hybrid (Automation/IT) technological platform to transform traditional or manual warehouses in “smart” ones by handling control, supervision and material traceability in a single place. It includes a multi-warehouse PLC-based control system and cloud/web/mobile applications to supervise the systems. Warehouse cluster can be integrated with customer MES

Revamping of AGV-based Beam Transport Systems

Technologies: IPC, PLC, RDBMS, WINDOWS, FIELDBUS, SENSORS, SENSOR FUSION, MOTION CONTROL, SAFETY, WIFI

Keywords: LOGISTICS, AGV, TRACEABILITY, PROCESS CONTROL, ERP/MES INTEGRATION, PDA

Using our expertise in AGVs, we have been able to completely upgrade the automation and IT technologies used in existing AGV-based solutions for beam transport.
Normally these AGVs are based on custom electornics and it’s difficult to find replacement parts on the market. We removed all of these parts and retrofitted all the electronics and motion control technologies with industrial-grade ones. At the same time we created a custom Control Station that automatically manages process flows, missions, and ERP integration. The system has been integrated with an external ERP for process data synchronizations.

Textile Sorting Application

Technologies: WINDOWS, IPC

Keywords: SORTING,PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

An IT application able to generate optimal sequences for automatic warping machines.
Given a spool rack and a sectional warping machine with limited threads per section, this software is able to determine the best warping solution to minimize sections’ number (working time) and racks-consumption. At the same time it provides the optimal loading sequence for the spool rack. All the informations are automatically transmitted to the PLCs.
This solution is highly customizable and it’s entirely based on a hi-performances built-in algorithm developed by Microtecna’s engineers.
